after installing spyware guard, i began getting an error message

I would double click on ie icon (on desk top or start prog menu; sometimes only on first try, sometimes 1st & second try, sometimes on desktop menu & not on prog menu, seems totally random), outlook, or other appl.; grey box appears and says app has performed illegal function and will be shut down. click on details & get

    Same problem here.
    With Windows 98/98SE/ME.

Random page faults, blue screen of death, and so on.

    TIA.

    That's very, very odd.

No component of SpywareGuard should be able to cause those problems, unless there is a separate conflict or issue with the incorrect versions of Windows dlls.

I'm still trying to duplicate this (in fact I've downloaded tons of old versions of various Windows dlls to a test system just to try to see if I can cause this "break" - no luck so far). I'll let you know if I have any other ideas.

    Best regards,
