Spyware Blaster 3.1 Download Infected W32/Gaobot.worm(ED)

    W32/Gaobot.worm (ED). McAfee VirusScan On-Access is reporting that spywareblaster.exe and sbautoupdate.exe are infected as described when attempting to download and install Spywareblaster from any of the links specified on the Download Page. Please check this out an respond ASAP. Thanks.

    Could you please report this to McAfee as a false-positive? It certainly looks like it is (I checked the setup files again just to make sure).

    I checked the latest setup file with Panda anti-virus and found nothing.

    Apparently the Viruscan Pattern files have been corrected. I have not encountered the problem again and I was successfully able to upgrade SB 3.1 on several machines.
