    Great release
Even though I don't use it anymore, I still think this is one of the best buy I've made.

    For Restricted Apps (premium)
    - delay save as attachement with mail is gone
    - copy paste from to websites (e.g Wilders forum) is possible

For some reason Adobe PDF and Flash did not work with IE9 and Chromium, with no messages of Restricted Mode write access violations

Excellent software with a constant development, I would say that it's the best HIPS.
In fact the dev challenge you to find a flaw in SpyShelter :thumb:

Allthough flash and pdf worked after uninstalling Spyshelter, I did a re-install as suggested by support of flash, pdf and Spyshelter, turned on Restricted Mode for internet facing software and it worked on IE9, but not on Chromium. Downloaded a fresh copy of chromium and tried again and now it also worked on chromium (restricted mode). o_O

I have been experimenting with assigning jobs and icacls. I had sworn I had reverted back to a fresh image. Obvious there were some leftovers of investigating the borders of Windows 7 ultimate

I don't think so, as far as I understood Spyshelter is focused in block any leak made by real malware, if you find a malware able to infect your pc after block all the popups if any, report it to the developer and in the next update will be fixed.

I tried the free version few days back and liked it. It seems robust n light. Also there is a sort of Sandbox in it.

But I think there is hardly a place for a dedicated anti-keylogger now a days as same functionality is provided by many HIPS like OA, CFP etc. IMO they must release a version with full fledge HIPS along with a vast white list to reduce the pop ups. This HIPS should have low pop up default mode with an advanced mode for security geeks too. An anti-keylogger and anti-spy feature will be the plus to it.

And more imp, they need to make their pop up alerts better with application icons and simpler presentation. If done so, I am sure thye might get some customers. Wish some one can convey to them.

    Hi aigle

You can submit the idea to the developers
Back then, some user here including me suggest a restricted mode on 64bit.
Few months later , the dream comes true :D

    Hi!
Since yesterday I am using the SpyShelter Pro 64 bits 14 day trial version. But I already have Online Armor Premium, and both use HIPS.

Double HIPS makes no sense I suppose, so I can disable one of them.
I wonder if it will really give extra protection on top of OA.

I still have 2 weeks to decide whether to buy it or not, so there's no hurry. And it costs €25 for a lifetime license, so buying it won't ruin me financially.

But any advice is welcome. If the program would not really give valuable extra safety on top of OA and my other AV protection, why bother.

I also use Sandboxie, Avira Premium, SuperAntiSpyware Pro, Hitman Pro free (only scanning), EmisoftAntiMalware free (only scanning), and Malwarebytes free (only scanning) on Winsows 7, 64 bits.

OA covers your keylogging protection and in advance mode you will have file and registry protection so as hips dont really need spyshelter and as antikeylogger OA covers this area too and OA also has a strong firewall which blocks any program trying to transmit any data out to the outside world so you are already cover

    Thank you. :thumb:

I guess I could have a bit more confidence in OA, as it even has its Anti-keylogger program.

How does SS alone compare to the whole CIS suite?
