Spyguard development halted?

I've installed Spyguard, and notice that the last definitions update was 1/22/04..

I don't mean to sound alarmest, but that seems to me like no further work is being done on it? Also, a friend of mine said he read that Spyguards definition database has like 50 items in it, and thats it?!?!?

Can someone please let me know the status, and the amount of issues in the database so I know if I should waste time on it?

spyware guard uses heuristics, so it doesnt have 2 update as often, it can detect newer things without updates
