hi all

Spybots & spywareblaster

has the ability immunize IE , firefox ..

adding bad domains to the restricted sites (iE)

i dont realy understand how it works in Firefox

i have IE7 & firefox

when i use spybots & spywareblaster

firefox with about 25 addons : when i lunch firefox it hangs bit and it dosent

even surf fast or smoth.

when i navigat through sites firefox seems to be bit slow

in fact my IE7 is much much faster which everybody hate

if i only open one window of IE7 while firefox running things gets very slow there

as everybody praise and compliment firefox....

for its speed and glossy trait.... not on my pc noww

i suspect it has something to do with the protection (like IE:cool:

or its my huge 25 addonso_O

what do you think?

by the way does someone know how spybot and spywareblaster protects FIREFOX o_O??

Spyware Blaster sets a killbit that prevents some malware from installing.
I know that Firefox loads slow for me. But once it loads up, it surf fine.
Then again, I only have a few add-ons.

I almost never use IE and I don't run FF all that much.
So,I never run IE and FF at the same time.
How much RAM(memory) do you have?

That's more RAM than I have.
I wouldn't run them both simultaneously. With tabbed browsing you can surf multiple sites with one browser.

I would say the extreme slowness you are reporting is likely to have more to do with the 25 add-ons than the immunization.

To troubleshoot this, I'd try disabling the immunity programs, one at a time. (Note, after de-immunizing Spybot, you may have to then re-enable protection in SpywareBlaster. There is some overlap in application.)

If browsing with just one immunity application active at a time makes little or no difference to the speed, then it's time to look at the rather more complex issue of which add on, or combination of add-ons, is causing the drag.
