Spybot Search & Destroy -uninstall doesn't exist

I have been using Spybot search & destroy 1.4 beta 2.
When I installed updates it ceased to work properly saying a scan was in progress and then dissapearing.I decided to remove it and re install but got the message "C/Program Files\Spybot-Search & Destroy \unins000.dat"does not exist.Cannot uninstall.
I tried add and remove programmes and got the same message.
Can anyone help?

Rather than uninstalling it, try to reinstall it over the top of itself. Spybot S&D will then hopefully work or at least have enough information to uninstall itself.

 

u do know that the full version of 1.4 is out right??

 

thanks will try re-install but it does specifically say you should un install before replacing it with a new version.Will report progress.

Thanks.Having un installed almost all of spybot I re installed verson 1.4 and it is working fine.
