spy sweeper spyware gaurd conflict

hi im having trouble with spyware guard every time i open my spy sweeper, spyware guard warns me that my home page has been changed they dont have the same home page but ive tried changing them with no effect spy sweeper has http://.yahoo.com and spyware guard has http://.yahoo.com/ i tried to add the / on the end and i tried to uninstall and reinstall the spysweeper no luck. I have the latest version of spyware guard. Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

Even tho they are protecting the same real estate(Home page)....there still should not be a conflict like that happening....IF it is indeed being entered exactly like Spywareguard knows it. While there are a few ways to approach this....I would attempt to Synchronize Spysweeper and Spyguard.

With Spyguard(SG) active in the background and with Spysweeper's(SW) main GUI open....select the Shields selection in the left menu of SW. In the area where you can specify the Home page delete everything and leave it blank and then select Save. Minimize SW and then with an IE window open go to Tools\Internet Options\General tab....type in the Home page you want....www.yahoo.com....for example....then select apply\ok. Both Spysweeper and SpywareGuard should alert you to this and you can then select Keep new Value and they both should now be Synchronized.
