When i try to install Spy Sweeper 4 the installation gets to WRSSSDK.exe and then an error message comes up that says "A device attached to the system is not functioning". I click ok and it finishes. When i open it, it opens to an empty shell and says it is damaged and to reinstall. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 9 times with the same results with several different downloads.
I first submitted a ticket to Webroot on 6/6/05 and so far all they have said to do is uninstall and reinstall. Each time i tell them that i get the same rersults, the just say redownload, uninstall and reinstall.
Can someone tell me what device this could be? I have windows 98se.
    Thanks

    Hi ninajb8 & welcome to Wilders, :)
I had the same problem with a previous version.
Can't remember which version it was. :doubt:
Using Program Version 4.0.3 (Build 363) right now and no problems yet.
Could you tell us which version you're using?

If you're not using the latest, ask for the update here.
You'll receive an email afterwards with the download link. :)

If it doesn't work to install, I would suggest to go into Safe Mode and installing it from there.
Already did it twice and it worked like a charm.

    I hope this helps. ;)
