I just found out that my cable and wifi bundle from Spectrum has an available security suite for paying customers. It uses F-Secure av. I've been trying it out on one of my computers, and the coverage so far seems okay. I ran a brief scan and here was some of the information: Version information Scanning engines: F-Secure Capricorn: 18.0.759 (2021-04-1 F-Secure Hydra: 6.0.391 (2021-04-16) F-Secure Lynx: 2.4.6 F-Secure Online: 18.10.297 F-Secure USS: 6.0.80 (2020-04-14) F-Secure Virgo: 1.3.17 (2021-04-15) F-Secure Virgo Detection: 18.10.29 I'm surprised by the number of scanning engines. Is this standard for F-Secure?
Idk so I'm asking. What are all those? Are they different F-Secure engines or are they licensed engines? If they're licensed engines, who are they from? Thanks. Edit: I was in the middle of posting before I saw the above.
Capricorn is Avira and the rest are their own. There's some more info in the following link. https://malwaretips.com/threads/f-secure-safe-security-suite-free-for-1-year.96351/post-844925
