    I had just read this /. article and was going to post the story, but I was beat to the punch. I did move this thread from other AVs to Malware problems and news though.

    What an interesting twist, it certainly is original. While competing malware has targeted and disabled rival malware before, certainly not in this manner - it's completely freeing the system of all other malware to make full use of bandwidth and processing power for itself. You have to admire the creativity here.
