    hiya.
I got a website an all of a sudden i get a bunch of bounce back emails sayin uqwxy or jiwnhe at my website sent an email out to an addy that dont exist. I dont have an addy with uqwxy jiwnhe or any of em and i didnt send no email out. So they must be fakin my website name. I read its easy for them to do. The bounce back emails are stinkin viagra spam and other crap. I really wanna make those &!*%!*# spammers burn for stealin my website name  but i read that if i complain or try to fight back they will know who is complainin an make it worse. They done this before but after a bit it stopped. What to do? If i dont do nothing then my website gets on blacklists but if i fight back spammers try to get me.

The folks who administer blacklists are careful to look at the headers of messages. Thus, they will easily discern that those emails are *spoofing* your website address, & that you are clean.

In any event it's often a good idea to set your website's email to :fail: or :blackhole: any mail that goes to catchall/default, & not to a specific email address that you have set up. Also, you should munge any email mailto addresses that you have posted on your website. If this guidance is not understood, then contact your site's web host & ask him how to use your site's control panel to do this.
