    Hi guys,
I've been using the new beta for about a week now. I've noticed that some webpages are not loading with the IMON enabled. Specifically, I'm having a problem with www.amazon.com, and anything on that server. I get the "The page cannot be loaded" page. So I disabled IMON, and reloaded the page. This time the page loaded fine. I went back and enabled IMON, and reloaded amazon.com once again. The page, once again, loaded ok. However, after about 1 minute, I clicked on a link on amazon's website, and the problem was back - site not loading.
I went through the same process several times:
    1. disable IMON - amazon.com loads fine
    2. enable IMON - amazon.com loads fine, but stops working after about 1 minute (not sure how long exactly, but it was a very short time)

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
    Thanx.

    Thanx Blackspear,
Haven't thought of it before. I forgot to mension the problem is in IE. I just tried it in Firefox and works fine. But the problem with IE remains - tested on two machines (2000 SP4 & XP SP1).

Just tried it with IE, still all ok. Are the machines you mention setup with the same software?

Have you tried one of the machines with Nod32 Standard?

    Cheers :D

Both systems are pretty much the same software, one has a lot of dev tools installed, but everything else is the same. They both have the problem in IE. I've been using Nod 32 2.0 stable before the beta, and I remember not having the problem. Not too big of a problem, I can get around it in Firefox (thanx balckspear :) ). Just thought I should see if anyone experienced it too (in case it's a bug in the http monitor in beta). I'll post if I run into another website that won't load.

I just tried amazon.com with IE6 SP1, latest beta and it loaded fine. How about some specs regarding proggies loaded? Sounds like a conflict. When you check the IMON compatibility setup, are any programs other than Mozilla/4.0 iexplore.exe set to higher efficiency?

The only thing loaded at startup is NOD32, no other apps are loaded, plus I disabled most of windows services for a faster boot up/faster system. Mozilla/4.0 iexplore.exe is the only app set to higher efficiency by default. I've changed it to higher compatibility, but no luck with amazon.com.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I installed the latest vulnerability update for IE6 yesterday :)).

I do have the same problems with amazon and some other sites with long url. It seems to appear randomly (only with IE) and disabling IMON HTTP makes the page loads...

Did you try to reduce passive mode minimum??

That was a problem here with Opera 7.53 and some webmail pages

I've Win 2k SP4. With IMON enabled, I can download the critical and services packs update without problems, however if I clic in Windows 2000 updates, with IMON enabled I can't access this part. With IMON disabled, I can download the others patches that aren't critical.

Same problem here with Windows Updates in IE6 Win2000 SP4 - just like Sir Carew described. Changing the size of passive mode or turning it off didn't help.

I have problems with IMON and Windows update, I am on XP-Pro, full updated machine. Here is the copy of the email I sent to betabugs:

Windows update: I can scan for updates but when the scan is ready I cannot choose subcategories, it just stays forever trying to reach the page. In the example I am trying to go to the Windows XP subcategory. The page works ok with IMON disabled. Look the JPEG file as refference.

Same here, turn off IMON and instantly you are able to see the subcategories... Do this and even more errors appear, see screenshot:

    Cheers :D

    Guys,
we are now looking into the problem with Windows Update. As to the aforementioned problem posted bz Blackspear, it used to happen on my home PC even with NOD32 completely uninstalled - perhaps a problem with a particular MS patch?

I am going to install the lastest beta, been sent as a link by support. I have to say that once again I am very satisfied with how fast ESET answers support emails. Let's just hope that when the final version is ready all these bugs have been crounched. I really like the new concepts in the new IMON.

It is marked as 2.000.11b but it had a different size than the beta that I downloaded 2 days ago. It didn't help to fix the issues that I have though.

    Hello,
I found another page that I can't load with IMON enabled.
Yesterday I tried to update my Office 2003 to SP1 and I can't until I disable IMON.

Let's not forget to send all these reports to the developer team. It is like this that we will help to have a problem free final version. These are the woes of beta testing.
