Download LSPfix as you will need it in a later step.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O3 - Toolbar: QuickSearch Search Bar - {82315A18-6CFB-44a7-BDFD-90E36537C252} - C:\Program Files\QuickSearch\QuickSearchBar1_27.dll

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'osmim.dll' missing

There also may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

Run LSPfix by double-clicking on it. Click the finish button and nothing else.

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:

C:\Program Files\QuickSearch\ <-- entire folder

Reboot and then post a fresh HijackThis log.

My father recently (about a week ago) reformatted my c harddrive. i currently do have spyware blocker, adaware alongside hijackthis on my other harddrive (d) and I believe that my computer is okay, though I would like to take some advice from you about precations i can take to ensure that I don't get into this mess again.
