    Never heard of but here some screens of its simple No eye candy GUI.It reminds of drweb somewhat minus the green.

    seems pretty samll foot print considering under 4.0 Megs install

    It requires a reboot after install and updates,Hence in shadow mode will lose changes on reboot,therefore I can not judge it based that its not fully updated or written to the actual drive.

    yep the crossed swords is what it looks like,The icon to the left of the swords I can not make out what it is.If I had to guess looks like playing cards.LOL poker anyone.

    @ giddyup,Hey I just gave Solo a full install updated and gave it A RUN.The Scan speed is pretty fast. I had one FP that of my cyberlink was a trojan.The scan speeds are pretty fast and the foot print is light but however a simple test of the eicar failed detection I tried a few times same results.

    Solo is an Indian AV solution. It detects most samples that exist in wild (in India). Has weak spyware/adware protection.
    Its popular among cybercafe owners in India. Seems they have stuck a deal with some of the associations.

    Expect it to detect between 30-40% malware from worldwide wild sample set. Virus.gr tests says Solo 7.0 detected 21% samples.

    I thought surly someone would remember Solo antivirus, it has been around for a while in one form or another. I don't remember it ever being to popular though.
