One feature that I believe is important for modern anti-malware software to have is protection and scanning of plug n play/autorun devices. This means usb drives, cds/dvds, etc. I know Kaspersky 2010 has this as one of their new features. If you plug in a usb drive it will stop it from auto loading and will ask you to scan it for malware. Are there any other security programs that have a feature similar to this? Does Comodo or say Avira for example have this kind of feature?

As far as I can see, comodo and Avira both don't have this feature. But comodo can realize the feature through modified a rule.
