Hello. My company is creating a small “desktop” application that attempts to help fight identity theft and cybercrime. It provides encrypted notepads that can hold confidential information, including login and knowledge-based credentials. (Yes, it is expected that the system clipboard will be used with “Notes”, but 1) this product is focused on improving security for the home user / small business, and 2) the application provides a “clear clipboard” option to help mitigate the clipboard problem.) In addition to the Notes, the app can also create encrypted backups (to disk or tape) to help fight ransomware and other forms of data theft. It has been developed exclusively with Java SE, so it should 1) provide very near the same quality for Linux/Unix, Mac and Windows, and 2) provide access to the encrypted data into the future via newer JREs. Demo versions are available @ www.trustpds.com, and comments are solicited.

    How about a requirements list?

Saying it supports windows is of little use for us that have older systems as well as newer OSes.
