I was able to find it at Staples. Vendors that were dumping them at the fire sale prices ($99.99 for the 16gb) were mostly out of them. Now I read they are going to rebate folks who already own one so they'll be those prices everywhere soon. Anyway, where is the best place to get apps for these? I found webOS apps for phones but not sure what can and can't work on the tpad. I guess when you boot it you can go to an HP app store but I was interested in freeware type as I also read HP was encouraging "home brewed" apps or something like that they called them. Thank you!

It doesn't mean you can't still fool around with it.

They might even shutdown their whole PC division. :(
I feel quite insecure about buying any HP consumer product today.

Where are you at? Staples online the best I could find was $499 and they're sold out.

PA, but that is irrelevant. Scroll down the page in the link until you get to the store list. I called the store, explained about the ongoing "fire sale" and they called back in a few minutes and said they sell at those prices.
