Hi, I just installed Snoopfree and when I run my Trillian IM program, Snoopfree identify it as a keylogger. Is this true ? I am a newbie and would appreciate advice from the experts here. Thanks.

I haven't heard anything regarding Trillian containing any type keylogger that would be described or considered as malware, but have you tried contacting the author of SnoopFree through their web-site "Support" link? He is generally pretty good about replying to emails when users have concerns, so you might try contacting him to see what he can tell you.

    Hello,
Most IM programs can hook keyboard, in order to work with shortcuts. The same goes for Skype, for instance. Or even VMWare Player, to name another application. You don't need to allow Trillian to hook your keyboard, but then you will not be able to use shortcuts.
