    Thanks for your post.

    When you say you looked at outpost "free",is that the 2009 firewall or the more modern free suite.?

    Take it that firewall still functions correctly as it hasnt been updated since 2009.

    Even if you do this I notice some of the subscription lists take the liberty to update themselves. I have auto updating for addons disabled 3 different places... in Firefox options, the global extension options, and for that individual extension (ABP in this case) that you show in your screenie. Yet still, when I go into the filter preferences to view each sub list to update them I see that some of them have updated. Malware Domains especially does it often... like every day pretty much. I can tell because it shows the last date it was updated right there and it's always today. And I often have to uncheck one of those snails from the new entries.

    I don't like it either.
