    Hi,

    I have a very simular problem with build 1330.
    After I start the deployment the client just shutdown.
    I don't think that it is network related. However here is my setup:

    Server:
    Windows XP Prof. Sp2
    Windows-IP-Konfiguration

    Hostname. . . . . . . . . . . . . : stm-mo
    Primäres DNS-Suffix . . . . . . . :
    Knotentyp . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid
    IP-Routing aktiviert. . . . . . . : Nein
    WINS-Proxy aktiviert. . . . . . . : Nein

    Ethernetadapter LAN-Verbindung:

    Verbindungsspezifisches DNS-Suffix:
    Beschreibung. . . . . . . . . . . : VIA Rhine III Fast Ethernet Adapter
    Physikalische Adresse . . . . . : 00-80-91-3F-05-B7
    DHCP aktiviert. . . . . . . . . . : Nein
    IP-Adresse. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.128.21
    Subnetzmaske. . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    IP-Adresse. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.10.1

    Standardgateway . . . . . . . . : 192.168.10.1
    192.168.10.1

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Complete System Deployment Software.

    Actually, we are going to release the next version Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 in the nearest days. Please be aware that this problem was fixed in this version.

    We recommend you to wait few days more for this release and contact us by submiting a request for technical support after the next version is available. Please attach the information about your purchase of Acronis software (order number, e-mail, where did you purchase our product, etc.) to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and certainly provide you with the solution.

    Thanks for the reply Kirill.

    At the moment I'm carrying out an evaluation of the software for our company. Does the technical support you are talking about extend to this trial?

    Thanks

    Dan

    Hello matiasvidoni,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Complete System Deployment Software.

    Could you please do the following in order to create Acronis Snap Deploy Agent logs so that we could continue investigation on this issue (this should be done on a target computer)?

    - When the client side of Acronis Snap Deploy is starting up, wait for boot menu to appear and press F11. As you get the "Linux kernel settings" prompt, remove the "quiet" parameter and press OK.
    - Select Acronis Snap Deploy Agent.
    - After you get the command prompt enter:

    product /mode:demon /log-level:verbose /log:../tmp/problem.log

    and press enter.

    - Reproduce the problem.
    - After you get the command prompt again insert a diskette into the floppy drive and enter:

    mkdir /mnt/t
    mount -t vfat /devfs/floppy/0 /mnt/t
    cp /tmp/problem.log /mnt/t
    umount /mnt/t

    - Collect the problem.log file from the diskette.

    Then, please, continue with the following in order to create Acronis OS Deploy Server logs:

    - Launch Acronis Snap Deploy Management Console;
    - Select the "Manage Deployment" option;
    - Specify the credentials for connecting to the machine with Acronis OS Deploy Server and click "OK";
    - Click on the "Show operations log" button on the icon bar;
    - Select the date you need the log from (this should be the last one, which was created when creating Acronis Snap Deploy Agent logs) and click on the "Save log entry to file" (diskette) button;
    - Specify the path and the filename for the log file and click "Save".
    - Collect this log file too.

    Please create an account, then log in and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and the information about your purchase of Acronis software (order number, e-mail, where did you purchase our product, etc.) to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.

    I am having the same problem with the target machine shutting down.
    Dont you think the previous post from Acronis support is alot to ask from an end product user?? That is alot of work to collect the logs for tech support to evaluate, especially on a product that you purchased like I did.
    I have had the shutdown problems when trying to deploy on two entirely different systems(different network cards, different chipsets, etc) This cannot be a problem only experienced by a few.
    I am a little dissapointed thus far in Snap Deploy.

    Hello ccarey70 and matiasvidoni,

    Please try to install Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 free trial version and see whether the problem remains. If the problem still persists then please collect the log files which I have requested above and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    If the problem does not appear with this trial version then please provide us with the information about your purchase of Acronis software (order number, e-mail, where did you purchase our product, etc.) in you request and we will provide you with the free upgrade to Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 full version.

    Thank you.

    Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 Demo

    I downloaded and installed Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 for testing by a school district, but when the provided license was added, it only gave us a total of 1 license, which was used by the server. It did not give us any client licenses for testing. The first deployment attempt failed with the error "There are no free licenses ...".
