Hi there - just been looking at some of my PG protections and noticed that I don't have the option to block smss.exe from installing driver/services. The box is ticked but greyed out i.e no option to uncheck ( not saying I'd want to :D )

Is that normal - the default ?

    Cheers

    Thanks tonyjl

I have 3.2 Full - just don't remember it doing that in the previous version. Not a problem - just curious and making sure it's not just me

    Cheers

One of many failsafes we implemented. If you added a new user to your machine, and logged out and then into that user account, SMSS would appear to install Win32k.sys during the initialisation of the user.

A BLOCK would of course mean you get stuck at the welcome screen or login screen or the system would bluescreen :)
