What version of ESS are you running? I assume this is a known problem of certain controller drivers, I will provide you with a fixed dll then.

    Hi all.

I have the same problem, consuming 1,9 Gb of ram.

I talk to support by phone and they recommend to uninstall Spybot,
but after uninstall , same problem again. I try to reinstall Eset smart security too , but dont solve the problem.

    Lastest version installed and updated.

    Hello.

I'm running ESS 5.2.9.1 on Windows 7 SP 1 32 bit and ekrn.exe takes up around 78 MB (I assume this is normal but a little bit heavier compared to v4.2.64.12 which used to consume around 62 MB).

    Thanks.

Version 6 is basically the same engine so will have the same issues, Ekrn.exe has a memory leak, on my pc win xpsp3 it will gradually accumilate into 100's of MB not as severe as 1.93GB but still a concern, As there's still no word from the developers regarding a fix in ESSV6 things aren't looking too good for those affected,

Marcos - was it fixed by component update for those that already have the software installed - or is a manual upgrade needed?

A manual upgrade will be needed (ie. by running a newer msi or by upgrading via the program's gui when a newer version becomes available).

I'm having this issue with version 6.0.115.0 and can't find a newer version. Am I missing something or is there no real fix yet?
