I installed BitTorrent, got on The Pirate Bay, and when I select a movie to download ESET SS 4.2.71.2 always blocks it. Is there a way around that? Can it be explained in a non technical fashion so that a techno weenie can understand how to do it? Please. Thanks.

Would you please post a screenshot of the alert you're getting so that we have an idea what's being blocked?

I don't know exactly what you mean. For example, I typed in the names of several movies in The Pirate Bay search box and when I clicked on one, any one, ESET displays a small window with red type telling me the site was blocked. Also Webroot gets into the act and its scan screen pops up.

Please take a screen shot of that window and paste it here. Do not add the url to the whitelist for now or you'd risk malware infection.

When I set up to take the screen shot, everything worked and I was able to download a couple of things. Hopefully it will continue to work. Thanks to you all for the advice. BTW what is the difference between NOD32 and SS?

can you link me to the entire top

btw - i'm not sure what that blog means.....

seems like its saying the site is ok and is only being reported as a problem, because some AV is trying to get you to buy something.

Why doesnt eset block the malvertising script, instead of the website?
