I did google this update issue and saw the solutions mentioned on previous thread.

    I've tried:

    1) Re-installing Smart Security 4.0.467, including deleting the Application/ESET folders upon uninstalling.
    2) I made sure that my 'Temp' folders exists in my computer

So far I've re-installed the lastest available download version a couple of times, but this issue still exists.

Anyone else know what to do?

    Problem Resolved.

It turns out that my System Environment Variables for TEMP and TMP are wrongly defined. My system drive is lettered 'G:' instead of the commonly used 'C:' The TEMP and TMP system variables are both defined as "C:\temp." All I had to do was: change the letter back to 'G:' and reinstall Smart Security.

I do not have a C: in my system so I guess this caused a nonexistent Temp folder issue. Weird that this issue didn't pop up until recently as I've been using Smart Security for over 2 months. Anyways, problem resolved.
