Slow scan

Hi,

I installed NOD32 3 days ago and I liked it a lot. However, when I tried to make a scan I began to have problems.

Actually, after several times that the scan reached 28% in half an hour or 45 minutes and didn't go further, I decided to leave the computer on for 4 hours. The result was that it went till 28% again and stayed there passing the files. I must say that my hard drive has 37 GB and there are 7 GB free. I noticed that to scan some files it took about 15 seconds.

All the antivirus I had before they took about 1,5 or 2 hours to make the full scan. With NOD32 I imagine it would take 14 hours to make the full scan of the computer.

I don't think this is normal and I'm not very happy with this situation.

I have Windows XP Professional.

Can I have any sugestion about this problem?
