    Hi,

    There are some sites that I can't get to with my computer. I've tried with the newest internet explorer and mozzilla firefox. These are sites that every other computer can get access to. All my friends can get there. I can't and I was wondering what could be the problem. Could my antivirus have anything to do with it or one of my antispyware programs? I have Windows Xp.

    Example of a site where I can't get to:

    www.ironmaiden.org

    Hey negative creep,

    Do you receive any kind of message or does the page even load ?

    As a side note....after visiting the site succesfully....it's not a site in my Restricted Zone, almost everything is disabled in the Internet Zone and I do not accept any cookies.

    Ni NG.... I too can get to that site no worries like Bubba. No cookies asked.
    Normal VB Board.

    Normally I'd say to dump all your TIFS/cookies from IE as that may be causing a problem and check Restricted and Hosts files, but seeing as you've tried in Firefox also without any luck, maybe it's got blocked via your Firewall/Security App you have and for some reason it's not validating the request for that site.o_O

    Check in FW rules/settings if so.

    Has this only just occurred or have you not be able to get to that site at all in past?

    If you have been to site in past, and cannot get there now, have you rebooted since the problems? Sometimes a reboot cures a silly problem for no apparent reason.

    Cheers, TAS

    No problem getting into the site with Firefox. If u are using IE have u tried placing this site in ur safe site list? To do this ......

    1. In IE click on TOOLS
    3. Click on INTERNET OPTIONS
    3. Click on SECURITY
    4. Click on the TRUSTED SITES icon
    5. Click on SITES
    6. Now type in www.ironmaiden.org
    7. Click OK to confirm. If Apply is there too click on it before clicking on OK.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi guys,

    It just says: the operation timed out when trying to contact www.ironmaiden.org

    I have deleted TIFS/cookies from IE
    I quit my firewall

    this is the first time I'm trying to acces the site on this computer.
    I placed the site in the safe site list, but it still doesn't work with firefox or IE

    ISP=Internet Service Provider
    NTL=a UK broadband provider ?

    In a couple of the threads on the Iron Maiden Bulletin Board....there is mention of users with NTL as their ISP having difficulty reaching the boards and some of the reasons given are NTL proxies blocking access.

    Do you know if you go thru a proxy ?

    Also....if you have a PC that can reach Iron Maiden....I'll post the thread link below.

    This link @ Iron Maiden---> Natalia can't get into the BB
