    I have noticed a new microsoft update called Silverlight. What is it and what does it do? Thanks in advance!

    Silverlight is MS alternative to Adobe Flash. Its adoption is small now and is picking up. Its used by some sites operated by MS, WWE, MLB, NBC Olympics, etc.
