Signature, Malicious activity, and?

    The wikipedia article on Antivirus software mentions the above two methods as the sole two AV's use to detect malware. Don't most, if not all AVs, look for general matches to existing signatures? Somewhat related, if not, generic signatures? Some also use in-the-cloud technologies, right?
