I have noticed that there is an ever increasing number of signatures files in the directory which if continues this direcotry is going to get really big:

    C:\Program Files\ewido anti-spyware 4.0\Signatures

    1. Do we need to leave the older files in there?

    2. Will ewido delete them automatically after a certain time?

    Thanks,
    HelpFromFrance

You should leave them there :)

Sometimes there is a big database update.

    Hi HelpFronFrance,

Here is the easiest way that I know to explain it. The largest file with a size of 6556 KB basically is a cumulative signature file. Say for instance if today ewido put out a new cumulative file, all of the files in that folder would be combined into one. When a new cumulative update is released, all of the incremental files would be deleted. All of the rest of the files in that folder except for the one I talked about above, would be basically incremental files. Once a new cumulative file was put out, all would start over with each update being added being an incremental file. Notice the size of the incremental updates are a lot smaller (3 to 118 KB) compared to the cumulative file (6556 KB).

I hope this explains things a little better.
