To avoid confusion, should the name of the forum be changed to "ewido anti-spyware", Or "ewido anti-spyware (previously known as ewido anti-malware)"? Something like that? :D

I agree....but "THE MEDIA" in general, refers to "Spyware, spyware, spyware....", so more AVERAGE USERS are familiar with the term spyware than they are malware. Just catering to the masses that are influenced by the media, that's all....

I also think it was a bad decision to name 4.0 "Anti Spyware." I don't really care, but I would probably not look twice at it if I was in the market for an application that was for protection of the malware that Ewido protects against. I would see anti spyware and go to another application, such as a squared.

anti-malware should better describe ewido because I think anti trojan is ewido's main strength.

Hey look these forums are for Ewido Anti-Malware, why are they posting about Ewido Anti-Spyware? Guess I'm in the wrong spot... O well.

Obviously the name change was a Grisoft decision. There are news articles announcing that Grisoft has released Ewido Antispyware to complement it's AVG anti-virus program. This has to do with marketing. Nothing more.

Yes, to avoid confusion, since ewido maybe new to some people and they may think that ewido anti-spyware is another piece of software in addition to ewido anti-malware.
