Should I uninstall the free version before installing the Pro?

If it's the same product, it'll detect it and alert you to uninstall first. I know that's how updates work.

 

Actually it depends on the versions, You can install a Drive Backup with a PM or a PM with an HDM. What you can't do is install the same products and have 2 different versions of that product, i.e. HDM11 Suite and HDM 12 Suite can't be installed at the same time, but you can have BR 10 Suite and BR 12 Home.

 

So what's the answer to the OP's question? Free with Pro, whatever that is?

 

He shouldn't have an issue installing the free with the Pro, though I would recommend uninstalling it because you don't want to add confusion, and be running different engines of the softrware which can cause confusion in the restore process.
