This has no doubt been discussed before (probably many times), but I'm too lazy to do a search. I do know that Spyware Guard, compared to other kinds of protection, is heavy on heuristics and that's why we don't see periodic "definitions" updates. At one time Javacool was talking about working on a new version of SG, but I haven't heard anything about that in ages, and possibly the project's been abandoned. See my signature for the rest of my security setup (they're all the free home versions, so nothing's resident except the firewall and avast). Given the updates and upgrades to each of those over the years, should I still consider SG a useful part of my "arsenal" and hang on to it? Or has it become pretty much redundant?
