Should an external HD, containing a backup image be formatted Primary NTFS?

    Ratchet, if the image is already on the disk, and you don't wanna lose it... don't format it.

    If you're preparing an external HDD to hold system images, NTFS is your best format... it allows you to have an almost limitless single file size.

    If you plan to BOOT directly from that HDD someday, PRIMARY is best... if not, PRIMARY or LOGICAL will work just fine.
