I was so happy with the free version of the ewido anti-spyware that I decided to buy it. I set the scheduler, etc and when I was going to use my other check tools this morning I noticed the shortcut for ewido was gone. It is not in the system tray either.

I tried creating a shortcut several ways -- this task is within my limited technical expertise; I get a message that I am trying to open a DAT file that may be used by the operating system and do I want to open it anyway. I guess I don't but I do not know what happened. I saw the entry concerning the monthly microsoft updates which I did install--it may have been that.

It was just so seamless prior to purchasing it [probably nothing to do with it] that I just had not paid any attention to make sure it was working.

    Do I need to uninstall/reinstall?

    Thanks
