Whenever I try to use "safely remove hardware" icon in taskbar, I get "An exception occurred while trying to run "shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll" error message. Any clues why? Am running XP Pro w/SP3 and am current on updates.o_O

    Try this:

01)- Leave the Device connected into the USB Port
    02)- Navigate to: START/Control Panel/System/Hardware (tab)/Device Manager (button)/
03)- From the Device Manager Tool Bar Click View and then click Show hidden devices
04)- In Device Manager scroll down to: Storage volumes and click the plus sign (+) next to Storage volumes
05)- For each Generic Volume: Right Click and choose Update Driver enabling the Radio Button: Yes, this time only to allow Windows to check Windows Update for an updated driver
06)- After updating all Generic Volumes close Device Manager and all open Windows and Reboot the computer
