I just enjoy reading these updates to no end, today more vendors are sparing not a second of effort to push the very edge of the envelope to making their lead products as best as possibly they can be given the limitations they're sometimes faced with.

    Thanks

Had problems with this build and had to uninstall, many messages at logon screen - '/harddisk(x) will/is not connected - retry/ignore/continue' over and over (/harddisk(x+1 etc).

This version 248 is very buggy. Avoid it for now.:thumbd:

Tony needs to revert back a release. This one is causing chk/dsk errors and orphan file crap on reboot.

    Hi,

I have used SD build237, 245(internal),246 and this one (24:cool:.

I have noticed this one is actually more stable .

SD has conflict issues with some firewalls and HIPSs.

At the present time, on two laptops: all OK
machine 1: ZA AS(use firewall only), manutu, sandboxie, McAfee AV 8.5i

machine 2: PCT firewall, manutu, PRSC, sandboxie,McAfee AV8.5i

I have removed DW 2.3 from machine 2, there is a BSOD issue with build 237, 246.

On machine 1 there is no issues since build 237 (no single app has been changed).

I just wish I could conclude something from these comparisons.

So much for a little enthusiasm in this release, eh?

Before I took it off, on shutdown, it said something about inconsistency in my disk and ran it. I had not seen that before this version.

I had a problem where my computer wouldn't boot after installing this version...I did eventually get in but the computer settings were a bit mangled. Fortunately I had used Migrate Easy to back up my drive just a few days ago so with a bit of copying from mangled settings drive and another Migrate Easy backup I am back to "normal".

    For those who are interested,

Tony has replied to an email I sent him yesterday.

"I have fixed a potential conflict with other security softwares, and
packaged it. Could you please download V248 again and test it."

After uninstalling SD and installing this supposed revised version, I have yet to experience my originally reported problem where Vista 32 SP1 with software DEP enabled running alongside DefenseWall and Primary Response SafeConnect would become unresponsive or freeze-up after 1-2 hours of usage even with SD disabled. Fortunately, I have not had any other problems. So far so good.

    Peace & Gratitude,

    CogitoErgoSum

Keep it. I saw this orphan file stuff on shut down with Returnil to. I am starting to really think hard of how shadowing or virtual software may be playing more tricks on our computers then we really know. So for me I am sticking to the tried and true. It may not be the best but it seems to work.

Has anyone tried the latest updated and fixed Shadow Defender version 1.1.0.248? What are your thoughts?
I've not had any big problems with stability until first version of 1.1.0.248. and
I don't want to discard it becuse of a glitch.

    Hi,

This has been puzzling me ever since I used SD, build 237.

I have numerous BSOD issues with various firewalls, HIPSs, build 246 not improved a bit either.

But as soon as build 248 installed, BINGO, everything all of sudden is sailing so smoothly, on two laptops. I do not know why, but I do know it works OK for me now. There is no need for me to try the second release, sorry.
