Setting up a VPS server for VPN/Proxy

    I've just purchased a VPS plan and i want to create a personal VPN/proxy server with a dedicated IP. It doesn't need to be highly secured, all i want is to browse the web through this VPS/VPN/Proxy with a dedicated IP.
    I've heared about OpenVPN and Squid, any good?
    Can anyone recommend me some other good software? The installed OS is Centos 5.
