Set-up? With LNS/Nod32

Hi everyone,

Are there specific ports to open and rules to set for Nod32? When I install these programs I will use the enhanced ruleset for LNS. I'm trying to gather all my info so I can print everything out and have it handy when I do my reformat.

AFAIK, just authorize NOD connections in LnS. No problems here.

 

I've never had to make any specific rules, just authorize it and it should be fine.

it has been a long journey. I will for once feel so much safer with those two progies. What I have now is very weak AV and FW.

Ya know it's amazing, I don't frequent porn, crack, warez, sites. I do not d/l music or videos at all. Or any unfamiliar site that I don't know and you can still pick up these uglies. I have a nice arsenal now and learned about hardening your system thanks to Wilders Forum Members and Moderators!

I have a neighbor that told me I was an idiot for going to these forums. She used to work for NASA. She say's "you aren't going to learn anything from those stupid forums and I wouldn't believe anything anyone said from those forums".

For someone so advanced such as her self, she has never heard of a Host File, Hardening your system, or a Rootkit.

Her and her mom, has never ever had a virus, worm, trojan, etc they claim since Windows came out in 1983. I told them "you must never use your computer".

Hehe, a good question to usually ask is how they would know if they had one. Many of these people will say that while their computer is in the shop because it's so sluggish

 

Because they said their scanners have never ever picked up anything at all, besides them being so advanced.

This is really strange but I just got a dialog box pop up of Javascript, saying Kerodo has just sent me a message about Samurai, do I want to allow or cancel. There is no subject specifically on Samurai. Something is on the loose, thank god I'm using Opera.
