    Hi

    I actually
ESET Remote Administrator Server version 3.0.142 and ESET Remote Administrator Console installed on a domain controller
around 200 clients connect to this server for virus updates

I downloaded 4.0.138 for server and console

What steps should I follow for upgrading?
Just launch MSI file? Console first then server?
    Or first uninstall product?

How to upgrade clients too after that?

I'd suggest using the latest version of ERA 5 which addresses reported issues and also supports new features added in Endpoint products.

Nothing is told about compatibility of V4 client and V5 server
Is this possible to keep a mixed environnement during a few weeks?

(Would be really hard to migrate thousands of clients machines and servers in a short time)

Impossible to upgrade from 3.0142 to 5+?

I am not sure about upgrading from v3 to v5, however when I upgraded our server and system from v4.2 to v5, I upgraded my console version first on my local machine. After that, the console told me that it could not communicate with the server any longer. So, I upgraded the server.

All my clients and other servers are still v4.2 and are still updating their virus defs.

I am doing a slow rollout of my clients first to v5 before I do my servers. I figure I will take a month to upgrade all 1,000 machines.
