server connection failure message

    I checked previous posts on this topic but to no avail. Just installed nod32 2 but my profile is stuck on version 1.498 - pretty ancient in the virus world - and i still get message "server connection failure".
    Not using Zone Alarm or other firewall.
    My isp doesn't require a proxy server

    any ideas?

    Just try again, and make sure your update server is set to automatic....

    New program componen update has been released and this can cause peak in traffic.

    hi.johntiger.the same thing happen to me this morning.it happend three time and then i started changed the server settings and after three times i got the update.thats good but i have got the same update four times today.........lets hope its the component update release...

    I tried a few times more, eventually connected, kept downloading a bit then dropping out. However eventually I got it all
