I guess they'll publish it on another couple of months. Right now they have published a simple report not more than that.

With all the differing reports and methods of testing that are used, it's no surprise choosing an AV or AM isn't exactly easy to do. Not that I really trust how MaximumPC is going to conduct these tests, but I'm real interested in how McAfee supposedly "redeemed" itself.

Strange that Kaspersky isn't on the list. I guess they didn't want to go for a top 11 report...  :D

I have to wonder how it managed to be considered a Top 10 AV. And, as stated before, where in the world is Kaspersky?

I'm not sure what value a test has that mixes suites and stand alone products particularily in the performance area.

Good question. I'm making an assumption that this is no true Top 10 test, but rather the top 10 products used by their readers, which were gathered through a previous poll. That's the only way many of the big vendors could have been left off the list. Still, that aside, the test might prove useful. We'll just have to see.

I don't think that many users are using Comodo IS Pro, instead of Pro version they should test the normal version..

IIRC the Pro version is exact same like the free version, just includes support.

Agreed. If they got their info from a reader poll, not too many participated in it. I know some people are high on Comodo, and, in regards to the firewall and maybe even CTM, I'd agree with them somewhat. But as far as the AV, I'm sorry, it really is just one person's opinion, but that AV does not belong in a Top anything just yet.

Well thanks, my Wifi is protected via WPA2 w/ 63char random-generated PSK. Good luck exploiting that. Anyway, I believe what you are referring to is the subscription to TrustConnect service provided by Comodo, not anything bundled in the application itself.

No no i am not referring to TrustConnect...Pro version do contain some kind of wi-fi protection feature in it. I do have free Trust Connect ID but i was not able to get connected with it. Don't know how to get it connected. :(

Well... They explicitely refer to TrustConnect wrt the WiFi security. Just click there.

Edit: I also note that their website has become extremely unproductive to navigate, confusing and basically looks like they try to make people pay for stuff they provide for free in fact. Comodo AV/Comodo Firewall - try it free for 30 days? WTH?

CIS Pro or Free, I'm happy that the AV is finally being tested.
