    You want inexpensive and easy? Try this very simple and tiny portable program:

    If you are communicating with one person, they only have to have the same portable program to decrypt. You can use it with all email clients web or otherwise.

    AES 256-bit. OpenPGP-based. Simple interface.

    Yes, there are other products that do the same thing, however, I don't think I have ever seen one so drop dead simple.

    It looks like a great utility, I like not having to install it and it runs from a USB drive.

    Another good freeware from Jetico is BC-Archive to encrypt and compress files, but there are good alternatives to that, like 7Zip, it does the same thing and in the end it is a matter of personal taste.
