I am a dedicted Spyware Guard/Blaster and Spybot user! Without people like
your good selves, us, the general Public would not have any choice but to have a certain amount of spyware/adware unknowingly installed on our PC`s.
Only recently i have encountered a small problem. That goes by the name of SearchForIt. Spybot picks up this detection and fixes it regularly now.
The funny thing about this, is that spywareblaster`s protection is disabled after i have enabled it, directly after Spybot fixes it! I have tried uninstalling another developers cleaner which incorperates a VX2 cleaner!! :D To no avail. I have also found it in the registry by searching for its CLSID, and deleted it! Didnt know if that was a clever thing to do at the time? but it didnt work anyway, because its back!!
Is there anyway i can password protect the dissabling of loaded protection?
or would that not be of any use anyway.
Please Advise.(bare in mind im a total novice)
    Ta.

    Re: SpywareBlaster 3.2 released!

    Hey AUXHILLARYmikE,

This is a False positive error on Spybot's part and will be addressed in an upcoming Spybot update. You can read more about this in the below thread and for the time being it's suggested you right click that item after a Spybot scan and select ignore.

This thread---> Spybot Update 8/30/04 False Positive

Your Welcome but a delayed response is when a poster comes back a day or three later....not 20 minutes ;)

    Glad you got it working.

Thank you for making Spyware blaster

Spybot refer you to me. So I have a question for you could I have a bad copy of spyware blast. You see your program show that there is: 1 items have protection disable (SearchForIt toolbar). Then I run sypbot it show that I am clean. Now get this I enabe all protection on Spyware Blaster and then run spybot spybot show 1 item. Yes SearchForIt o_O What's up with this can you tell me.

Hope you all have a Good day
