I'm wondering from user perspectives and experience which is the most reliable of the 2 drives, other advice is always welcome....

    And which Model/Model's are recommend!

I do recommend Seagate FreeAgent Go 320GB Drives, with a dock! But I'm trying to upgrade to some 500GB drives without having to pay the extra $ it will cost for the freeagent drives...

I already know Seagate has had nothing but problems with their 1+TB Expansion USB drives, but I haven't seen much user review about the 500GB Expansion USB drives yet?

I have a 330 Gig USB external HD which I use for backups with Acronis. I've had no problems with it so far.

Both great HD brands in my experience, get whichever one your favorite online store has a good price on the day you go shopping.

Usually I'm very faithful with a brand that gives me good results. Maxtor and Quantum HDD (none of these exist today) failed me. Although I don't have experience with WD HDs, I love Seagate, never gave me a problem.
No words about MSI, a brand that only gave me headaches
Only ASUS for me now
