    WD has finally corrected its deficiencies against targeted attacks in this test series and moved into second place; tied with both Eset and Symantec. This improvement is predictable in that Microsoft certainly has the resources to employ a small army of testers to ensure they can "bag" the next like lab test.

    Before WD aficionados get too excited note that:
    Note that is 10% of the test samples.

    For most users, prevention of infection is enough, even without complete "remediation".

    The problem is the malware could have modified system settings that could make you vulnerable to other activities such as botnet communication or to future attacks.

    Yes, I think Kaspersky is much better at rolling back the system changes.

    This test is interesting because it shows big differences between many of the products tested, and that's unusual.

    I also just noticed this from the FAQ section of the test report:
    This can be assumed to be major factor in WD's improved scoring also since browser based SmartScreen was in effect.

    Well I guess now we know what AV we have to use....We have 3 to choose from...Kaspersky, Norton, and Eset....lol.

    Actually I like Eset and Kaspersky.

    NO Bitdefender ?
