https://selabs.uk/en/reports/enterprise This is the first publicly available AV lab test report of Windows Defender ATP that I am aware of. WD ATP did extremely well only being edged out of the top spot by 2 points in the protection category from Kaspersky Endpoint Security. Whether its minimal increased protection is economically justified over much less costly endpoint solutions is an entirely different consideration.
I haven't read everything yet, but it must be a bit painful for Crowdstrike that Win Def ATP scored better. And as usual, Malwarebytes failed miserably, I really think they should buy a company with better technology.
Malwarebytes was always over-hyped, and now it goes down since years. I'm always amused to see some self-proclaimed removal specialists using it as if it was the Graal of security.
From what I understood, they make quite a lot of money, so why don't they buy another company? By now it's clear they can not develop a product themselves that can block the most advanced attacks.
MBAM was never "strong", it was sub-par against worms...so i never expected it to be efficient against sophisticated threats...
Hmmm... some folks who often proclaim their disdain for lab reports of AV tests are suddenly citing a lab's statistics to admire WinDef ATP & throw darts at MBAM. No offense, lads... just saying, is all.
