When installing a new computer with Snap Deploy 3.0 Universal Restore, it hangs on the "The system is being configured in accordance..." dialog box for ever. There is continous and heavy disc activity (lots of head seeking).

If I stop the process (close button), reboot the computer and login locally - a process called os_patcher.exe is running and causing exactly the same disk access behavior. Killing this process stops the disc activity. A "copying files...." dialog box is also displayed, but the progress bar is stuck at zero.

It is told to generate computer name, reset sid's and join a domain. Correct domain logon information is provided and verified.
Image is of a OEM Win XP with SP3 and all the latest upgrades. Sysprep is run to prepare driver installation. Workgroup membership.

    What is the problem?

All the latest updates on the server as of march 2009.
Restoring computers without universal restore is ok, but the product is close to useless if universal restore doesn't work (we have different hardware).

Found the problem. Do not place the device drivers in the sysprep folder (e.g. c:\sysprep\drivers) - as the entire sysprep folder is deleted when sysprep finishes :doubt:
Snap Deploy was stuck trying to find the driver files, which were deleted.
