    Can anyone recommend a screenshot/capture software that is free ware.

    Hoversnap is what I have used for a long time it works well and is very easy to use. You can get it here

    It really makes it easier to create a folder for hoversnap instead of useing a temp folder. And it really helps to check the box on the bottom

    thanks for the links guys... but mine seems to be broke I cant get the functions to work right. CNTROL+PRINTSCREEN doesnt want to work the only thing that seems to work is full screen and I want to use custom so I can drag mouse for the size I want or area... any ideas. I did d load hoversnap

    Are you useing cntrl-prnt scrn for a custom area and alt-prnt scrn for active area and full scrn just prnt scrn. with HoverSnap?

    Also if you are useing process guard and have block global hooks enabled it will not work in custom mode.

    No, Cntrl-Prnt doesnt seem to work.

    Nope, no PG used here.

    I dbl click my icon for Hoversnap then click hide but have to have my whatever it is that I am captureing right behind that then just click PRT SCR and I get a large + then I can drag the area I want. I have Hover set for play sound when done so I know it has been done. I also put a folder on the desk top named Captures so that it is handy enought to get to.

    this was done with just PRNT-SCR. I tried to use Cntrl_Prnt SCr but it does not want to co-operate :) I like the program but it seems iit has a mind of it's own LOL
