I recently looked at my computer and decided it was time for a new screensaver. I went to google and searched for screensavers but then realized I did not know which sites to trust to give me good, clean, adware free downloads. Does anyone know of a good site to download screensavers and wallpaper? All help appreciated.

You can easily find yourself entering pornograpical websites while searching for screensavers and wallpaper. Your right to be precautious :)

Just be careful of some of those desktop themes/screensavers....I've previously downloaded a couple for my daughter....which came with adware/malware. Check the Micro$oft site....they've got a few....that should be safe.

I've never bothered with them.....but I have seen them on their site......one would assume they are safe/compatible and spyware free........my screensaver is simply a black screen.

One could assume many things of Microsoft and sadly find themself misinformed.

    Yeah....maybe.
Actually....one of my best screensavers was sent to me (on disc) by a friend touring Canada......it's just photos of fantastic scenery.....it was called pcdss (postcard screensaver)....I googled for a link, but couldn't find anything for download.....lots of hits for "Canada Screensaver" though!
Anyway....what's wrong with the old XP- My pictures screensaver?

Well I would be looking for something which contains attractive women but which isn't porn as I'm not old enough to leave home yet.

So what are the security issues that come with downloading screensavers. I Would imagine they are almost endless as you tend to download an executable file. You could hide practically anything.
