I'm wondering if it is possible to schedule an archive validation that saves results to a log file. Anybody ever had a need for this? Ideally, I would schedule a validation the day after a backup. I had an incident where I needed to recover data from a backup (HDM12). Only then did I find out there were validation problems with the archive. I'd like to know a bit sooner. Thanks.
I don't think I've ever had a integrity check fail, in fact, I stopped doing them years ago because although one passed, used to restore more than once then failed to restore. If you get a failure, repeat using the same archive at least twice before giving up on it.
